A couple of days ago, The Hindu exposed the involvement of US interests in 2006 reshuffle of UPA government in which Mani Shankar was replaced by Murli Deora . But today's Leaks have really exposed the true face of Indian democracy. IN July 2008 Confidence Vote, the UPA government won by a thin margin. It was alleged that horse trading had taken place to woo parliamentarians. Some BJP whistle blowers showed the bundles of currency used by the Congress to purchase them. Subsequently, a parliamentary committee headed by Mr. K. C. Deo was formed and it did not find conclusive evidence but recommended further probe by a competent agency into the matter.
